"A Grieving Mother"

If A Husband Dies, The Wife Is Called A Widow. If A Child's Parents Die, The Child Is Called An Orphan. Why Isn't There A Word For A Parent That Loses A Child?

Statistics and census reports suggest that about 50,000 children die each year. A study on ‘Long-Term Effects of the Death of a Child on Parents’ quotes that ‘The death of a child is one of the most painful events that an adult can experience and is linked to complicated/traumatic grief reactions. For parents, the dissolution of the attachment relationship with the child elicits severe anxiety and other negative emotions associated with loss. Parents might also experience guilt about having been unable to protect the child. Furthermore, because the death of a child defies the expected order of life events, many parents experience significant challenges as a result of their loss.

If you click on the link called “Coping with Grief & Loss” this will give you some insight about grief?

Coping with Grief & Loss

The intensity of grief releases anxiety and high emotions. But we still don’t realize the significance of all the pain we go through. Experiencing the death of a loved one is extremely difficult, especially when it’s your own child who you love with every fiber of your being since the very start; you have so many plans and high hopes for them as they represent a piece of your heart.

It’s really difficult to erase a member from your family picture, the member who made you a family in the first place. I know it’s a common expression, but the world actually slips from under your feet and it takes a while for you to be able to stand back up again. But, there is help. You can stand up after the fall, even if it takes a while, it’s not impossible although it may seem so. I can say this because I have been through this pain; I have lost my two sons, one after the other. I went through the most difficult phase of my life after that. And no one was there to tell me that I’ll be able to breathe normally again, because every piercing breath I took was lined with the pain resonating from the empty space of my heart.

No one can understand the void in the heart of a grieving mother left by the loss of her son, daughter. My heart ached, the tears were never ending, nights were hard and the disbelief of how could this have happened to me was surreal. The pain of losing a child causes us to feel lonely and enter this world of grief, but you are not alone.

Today having gone through the loss of two sons, I can confidently tell you there is a light for every grieving mother to break through. This is exactly why I gathered up the courage to write ‘A Grieving Mother’, a book that will break the shackles of reactive depression parents are chained to after they lose their child. This book will help mothers who’ve been through emotional trauma, feeling like their world is upside down. I will provide steps to assist you to cope with the different stages of grief, helping you gain back the strength in your life, after years and years of suffering. ‘A Grieving Mother’ is a step by step guide to gain your soul back in life. And while staying in contact with the positive memories of your child, learning to let go of the negative emotions and embrace life fully once again. I’m excited to announce as a reader you can write your thoughts on a reflection page made especially for you in “A Grieving Mother.”

However, as excited as I am to share this book with you, I am a little short of funds for the actual publication process. This is a self-help book just waiting to be printed and ready to be read by people all over the world. However many know the cost of editors, printing, publishing, shipping involved in the process is / can be extremely high. I already have multiple pre-sale offers to purchase my book, but I can’t do it without you. I need your funding to bring this master guide to the racks in your nearest bookstore so that everyone can benefit from it.

Your financial contribution to my publishing journey means the absolute WORLD to me because; I feel your pain and want to help you to move forward. And it is with your donations that I will be able to publish my first book and help parents to process their grief.

Please pitch in and be enlightened by the power within yourself to keep striving to move forward from your grief.

Thank You!
