To save a life for my Mother

My mother Jeraldine Ordona, 52 years old was diagnosed with kidney disease (Chronic Kidney Disease Stage4). We initially found out about my mother's condition when she had her check up last September 9, 2023. She decided to have herself check because she felt ill for the past months. She experienced stomach aches, dizziness and seen bruises all over her body. She underwent laboratory tests and the results showed that her uric acid and creatinine are way beyond the normal range. Her kidney is no longer functioning well and the effects are excessive weight loss and dryness of her skin.

My mom's treatment plan includes blood transfusion and dialysis every 3x a week, that will amount to ₱90,000.

We asked for alternative treatment and the doctor prescribed an oral medication, that she took for two weeks and she underwent laboratory tests again and she still needs to undergo Dialysis because her creatinine is getting higher.

Currently, the doctor advised her to take a drug injection thrice a week as her starting treatment. Each injection costs ₱1,000 pesos which would amount to ₱12,000 per month. This is a continuous medication but she still need to have her blood transfusion and dialysis treatment. She’s always exhausted and ill, and she have a lot of bruises all over her body.

As of the moment, I do not have the full financial capability to shoulder all her medical expenses and treatments, but as her daughter, I still want her to be with us for more years. I am the breadwinner of the family, single mom of two, currently working as a factory worker here in Taiwan with just enough salary to cover my family's living expenses. My brother is still studying and my father has no job and he's the one looking after my mom and 2 kids.

Despite of life’s challenges and difficulties we are still hoping and fighting for my mother's life.

Last October 5, I took a 16 day unpaid vacation leave to check my mother's condition and took good care of her even for a short period of time. I myself witnessed the pain she's going through.

We our knocking on your generous hearts and asking humbly for any help you may extend. Please help me and my family fight for my mother's life, as we still want her to be with us in the coming years. My sons are only 5 & 4 years old and they still want to be with their grandmother. Ever since they were born my mom is the one who’s taking good care of them since I’m away and working for our whole family.
