Robert Bly is one of the most seminal and influential poets and thinkers of the second half of the 20th century. Starting with his magazine, The Fifties (later The Sixties) he opened up U.S. poetry to the voices of Europe and Latin America. Names now familiar like Pablo Neruda, Juan Ramon Jimenez, Tomas Transtromer, Rolf Jacobsen, and Olav Hauge. He also published the diverse work of the poets of his generation.
