To El Paso, from Families of Past Mass Shootings

My name is Darla Hubbard, one member of an army of families who have been impacted by a mass shooting. We believe that your donation should go where you want it to: Directly to victims. We have fought for years to make sure this has happened for victims of previous mass shootings and terrorist attacks. We are now doing the same for the victims of the El Paso mass shooting at Walmart.

Our hearts are with the families of the deceased and the victims who are suffering so horribly.

Those of us who have experienced a mass shooting are calling for anyone who wants to help the victims directly to take the lessons we have learned over 20 years from Columbine through to today.

Only the El Paso victims know what they will need to heal. Victims are grieving, in hospitals and in unimaginable pain. The costs are -- and will continue to be -- enormous, physically, mentally, spiritually and financially.
