Care Community Education Centre for Child Development (CCEDUC) was founded in 2010, with a mission to alleviate the causes of poverty and disease, thus ultimately striving for a healthier and happier community. Our programs are centered around supporting orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs) through the provision of food, care, educational resources and housing. We strive to empower local communities through skills exchange clubs for IT, sewing and community worker training.
Why the $3,000? One of our current goals is to give them the possibility to go to school by donating money to buy bicycles because these children walk long distances of about 1.5 to 2 miles to school. Some of these children are 6 or less years old and are not able to go to school until they are older.
It is not possible to send bicycles from Portugal, so we are not donating bicycles. The cost of shipping doesn't pay and we do not know if it will actually reach the correct destination.

2010, com a missão de aliviar a pobreza e as causas de doenças, com o objetivo de criar uma comunidade mais saudável e feliz. Os nossos
programas são centrados em apoiar os órfãos e as crianças vulneráveis através da provisão de alimentos, cuidados, recursos educacionais
e moradia. Nós nos esforçamos para capacitar
comunidades locais através de sociedades de troca de conhecimentos e de habilidades para
treinamento de TI, costura, trabalho comunitário, entre outros.
Por quê os $3,000? Um dos nossos objetivos atuais é dar às crianças a possibilidade de irem à escola. Elas caminham longas distâncias de 3 a 4 kms para chegarem à escola. Pelo menos, um terço das crianças do orfanato têm entre 6 a 8 anos de idade e não podem ir à escola até serem mais velhas. Não é possível enviarmos bicicletas a partir de Portugal, por isso não estamos doando bicicletas. O custo do envio não compensa e não sabemos se realmente chegará ao destino correcto. Se todos juntos doarmos uma pequena quantia, conseguiremos enviar o suficiente para eles poderem comprar as bicicletas que necessitam.
