TNF TEEN MUMS

Our charity organisation seeks to help teen mothers start self empowering projects to enable them to raise their children. Our girls are aged between 14 and 19 years.The projects we would like the girls to learn are poultry production, sewing, detergent making, horticulture and mushroom farming. We will also get them financial literary training.Funds raised will be used for training and for start up capital.

In rural Zimbabwe, girls are married off from as early as 15 years old. They are usually married off to grown men (over 25years) and are tasked with bearing children and working in the fields.

In peri urban areas orphaned girls resort to early marriages in the hope of securing themselves with basic provision. These marriages usually do not last,forcing the young girls to become sex workers in order to fend for themselves and their children.

Some of these young girls contract sexually transmitted diseases or have complications with early pregnancies.

TNF aims to discourage early marriages and pregnancies .We also endeavour to provide girls who are already teen mothers with a hope of a brighter future.
