Inspired by the tiny house movement and Bus Conversions, I set out to Convert a bus into my home. Being on Disability and limited income I have never been able to purchase my own home, so at 53 this was a dream come true. First I set out to buy a Bus and do the conversion myself, but due to the regulations of the town I live in it was against the law to park a bus so close to the beach. So I set out to find a bus that was already converted. After 9 months of searching and looking at 3 different buses I found the one. I found the bus of my dreams. When I contacted the website that was selling the bus, the number had been disconnected. This didn't discourage me I kept on researching trying to find this bus. I stayed up all night and finally found her. Being an Artist and strongly supporting recycle/reuse, I have turned this into an Art Project. Many of the things needed for the bus Have been handmade or items that are used. For instance, Couches and chairs that were going to the landfill I use the upholstery fabric to make curtains. I am already over half way finished and ready to put the bus on the road. However I need funds to complete this Project. To make it livable I need to replace the Stove, Refrigerator and Generator. I also need a new Power Steering pump. I am not looking for a hand out, but a Hand up. Once I am able to get the bus on the road I can make money with my Photography and artistic skills. I would like to help feed the homeless and also keep our parks and public lands clean by cleaning up and Educating people, "Leave Nothing but Footprints" You can see my progress and Follow me On Facebook: The Mothership Evelyn Lynn…. I would appreciate your Generosity in helping make my dream come true….
