Tiny House in Franklin County

As I will be graduating from Deerfield Academy in 2022, I have been looking for ways to give back to Franklin County during this pandemic. Last summer, I contributed to a modular transitional housing program with the Hong Kong government. This experience inspired me to design a low-cost tiny house on a trailer that I hope to donate to the community. My Tiny House will be built in Colrain, about 14 miles from Deerfield. The first inhabitant is someone who needs low cost housing for 2 years and the plan is to pass the Tiny House onto another person with housing need after 2 years. At this point, I have finalized the design as seen in the drawings and would like to raise enough funds to purchase the trailer and necessary building materials. Construction is set to begin in June. I hope this Tiny House can be replicated as a low cost housing model and the success can convince states and counties to amend zoning laws to allow more tiny houses to be built. Excess funding will be contributed towards equity housing projects of non-profit organizaions.
