Hello to all, my name is Nigel.
I have always been an animal lover, particularly cats. It all started when I was 5 years old. One very cold winter evening I was watching children's TV (Blue Peter) on our black & white television when my mum came home holding a small cardboard box.
I looked up as she removed the lid and inside was a very cute black and white kitten. We named him Sooty, and he became a part of our family for the next 18 years. When he died we were all extremely upset. Even my dad cried, a man who usually never showed his emotions.
After this I worked with animals, I had a job in our local boarding cattery and I later ended up living in Israel, working on the farm (kibbutz). For the last 10 years I have been living in Thailand. There are many stray cats in Thailand, I try to feed as many as I can but one cat in particular has become a very good friend. Every day he comes looking for me and then flops down to rest, knowing he is completely safe. Unfortunately I am not allowed to keep him in my room..
I really need to get back to the UK now and find some work, but I don't want to leave George here, I'd love to bring him home with me. If I can't bring him home with me I'd rather stay here, but I've run out of money.
If any of my fellow cat lovers can help I would very much appreciate it. Ideally I'd like to raise enough money to bring George to the UK, but in the meantime we both need food, so even the smallest donation would be very much appreciated.
Thankyou to all fellow cat lovers,
