Thulisa Workshops Addressing post violence and mental health issues to young adults in Africa

The Thulisa workshop will be working on 3 special topics this year.

Young Adults

-Post Violence and the future it can bring

-Mental Health awareness within the African community.

-Thulisa Workshop on decisions and mental health strains.

This is an attempt to bring awareness to the black youth about mental health, the impact it has on a individual, understanding what mental health is and unpacking how violence needs one to heal, how society can help and where to find places to help you understand yourself and the mental space you might find yourself in.

One of the biggest reasons why we need funding is to help, fund the Post Violence workshop for young girls is grade 11 and 12 whom have identified themselves as victims of violence and would like a space where one can find hope, coping mechanisms and experience talks facilitated by professional mental health practitioners.

After struggling to reach platforms or find avenues where one could find practitioners willing to volunteer their time, I wish to be able to raise enough funds to have/pay for atleast 5 Mental health practitioners for 5 hours over a space of 6 weeks to be there through the Post Violence workshop.
