Thisseas, is one of the thousands of strays in Athens and one of the many males that are wandering around in despair to find food, mate, a shelter. Luckily for Thisseas, his despair proved to be his salvage! While doing TNR (trap-neuter-return) in a central area of Athens, we saw a tabby adult male, walking towards us, limping his foot and bleeding. We instantly trapped him and took him at the vet clinic.

Ever since that day, we are counting three months of vet treatment at the clinic.... still. Thisseas is a very rare case of injury. He had skin avulsion.

A wound of this type cannot be stitched closed because there is tissue missing. It needs antiseptic clearance very often. On top of all Thissea's feral character, enforced the vets to sedate him often in order to apply the necessary skin treatments and bondage.

After three months of treatments, there is an improvement in his condition, still not as quick as expected.

Our vets suggest that Thisseas must have by now, a skin transplant.

We urgently need your assistance to help further Thisseas. There is absolutely nothing else to be done but the skin transplant. He is a healthy, young at age, and we want him to get back on his feet and back to his colony.

His current vet expenses have raised up to 1.000€, paid already and we estimate it to reach 1,700€ in total.

We still feed and neuter cats in the center of Athens, but sudden and costly cases like Thisseas drain out our resources. We would appreciate any donation towards our cause!

Along with Spring and blossom mood we bring you some good news (finally) about Thisseas. Our tabby boy had the skin implant surgery a month ago and we were all praying for a miracle! For his skin to accept the implant. And IT DID. Vets are optimistic with the progress. . . . .
