A week ago, I had the pleasure of finally meeting Thirdy, one of the sweetest & gentlest chowchows I've ever encountered, & his furparents Nice & Rap. I've known them for quite some time now, and it was such a joy to spend time with them... and shower Thirdy with loads of kisses.
Unfortunately, just a few days before Christmas, they found out that Thirdy has Distemper Virus (Scale 4). This kid has gone through so much already: Demodectic Mange, Hip Dysplasia, Ehrlichiosis, Chronic Kidney Disorder... and now this! He always had a weak immune system so he constantly gets sick, despite having the best nutrition his parents have given him.
They've always provided what's best for Thirdy, but now these folks need all the help they can get. After many lab tests, they've been told that they need to pay 23,000 pesos ($433) upfront, excluding all the lab tests, medication, & doctor's fees each vet visit will cost them, which they'll need to do for the next 7 days. There's no telling how many times he needs to go to the vet, or how long he needs to take his medicines, but we're all hoping for the best. For more details about his current condition, please head over to his official Instagram account
Upon hearing this sad news, I came up with this GoGetFunding campaign, to help them with all of Thirdy's medical expenses until he beats this dreadful illness. Thirdy has always been a fighter, and I know in my heart that he will survive this, because he will do whatever it takes to bring love and happiness to his furparents & friends for a very, very long time!
Once he's better, & there's still some fund money left, the rest of the money collected will be donated to 2 animal shelters here in the Philippines: MBY Pet Rescue and Sanctuary and Save The Laguna Pitbulls
As a furmommy myself to a beautiful chowchow named Urico, it's been my dream for him & Thirdy to meet up & be the best of friends... and with all your help, we can make sure that Thirdy will become healthy and strong again so that this moment will happen, not just for me, but for all the other furbuddies he will have in the future.
Thank you for reading, and have a Merry Christmas to you all.
