Third Eye Chai was created by Melissa Hoskins and Mark Kinder in 2014. We have been in business for 3 years making handmade Indian street Chai, our Chai concentrate and vegan baked goods. We started out as a stand in local farmers markets and had success in Bozeman MT and the Bellingham WA farmers markets. Our profitable stand gained many customers and featured our Hot and Iced Chai, Chai Concentrate - sold in mason jars to take home and make your own Chai and our vegan beignets. We are now residents of Taos NM and wish to take our farmers market business to another level by opening a Third Eye Coffee & Chai stand that features our handmade Indian street Chai , fair trade coffee and vegan baked goods. We are planning on staying in New Mexico and have developed our business plan to establish a permanent location in Taos. This campaign is to raise money for us to build a coffee cart and buy inventory for our online store. We have financed our business by ourselves and have no debt but it limits us in our ability to sell our products year round. This funding will allow our business to grow beyond a seasonal venture and will also allow us to develop an online store. We are offering fair trade coffee from Durango Coffee to provide more product offerings and have plans to develop a bottled coconut milk chai as well as additional handmade Chai flavors and local vegan baked goods.
