Campaign Story
Multiple Sclerosis is not something that people ask for it is just something that appears. If you had a blank sheet of paper you would fill it with a world of travelling, dating, drinking, dancing, writing, playing, eating, writing, reading, romancing, studying. You will fill it with your life of being a daughter, a sister, a uncle, a friend, a Christian, a mother, a father, a business person, a wife, a worker, a dancer, a husband, a runner and then all of a sudden overnight a SPOT appears in the middle of your paper and it is called MS. MS is indeed just a SPOT in the scheme of your life, but it is a deep and horrible SPOT. But what helps from focusing on the SPOT is the activities and people that you are surrounded with.
This fundraising event is give people to chance to re-embrace the things they enjoyed before the SPOT appeared. In life everyone has a SPOT and at some time or another we all need help. We are group of students studying event management at university and as part of our curriculum we have to organise an event. We have chosen our local MS Society because one of our team members was diagnosed with a rear condition called Neuromyelitis Optica (NMO) and the local MS branch has been supportive.
We want the money raised to help the local MS Members and their families. Also to support the NMO members.
Your support will help someone SPOT become smaller.
