Hi, I’m Nimesh Madushanka from Sri Lanka.  I need your kind support to help a poor family. Okay, let me tell you more about myself and why I am here. I’m 26 now and currently working as a Temporary demonstrator at Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.

As a freelancer, I’ve made quite a bit of money that was more than enough for my higher studies. That time I started helping the poor. In most of the cases, I’ve given them some financial support. Simply I gave them money. Or sometimes even stationaries for the kids who are doing their schooling. For all these good works, my girlfriend, Thilini was one gigantic helper, who backed me up. She is also a freelancer. (And we both graduated from the same University.).

A few weeks back, I saw an interesting article about a British student who raised over 30k of Euros, for the guy who helped her get to the home safely. This is why I am here. I need your tender hearts to do the very same. Not for me. But for the family who really needs our help. I’ve seen this heart breaking news on a Sri Lankan National newspaper.

After seeing the news, I called the husband of this family, Mr. Pradeep Ashoka Karunarathne. And we had small discussion. After talking to him, I realized that he is desperate for a new home, than anything else. I offered him some money and he was very grateful. But he asked over and over again for a new home, which I cannot afford alone. So, I promised him that I’m going to spread the word and hopefully we’ll be able to find money to build a new home.
