They can’t keep me down….this is my dream!

I am a 54 year old woman who has taught school for the past 28 years. I have only 2 more to go before I retire. I have loved my career but knew when I started that is was for love, not money. I have always had this dream to have my own business and when I retire I would be able to keep working with my own little business.

I married my 2nd husband almost four years ago and with him came three wonderful boys. I took them as my own and have paid for college, surgeries, and other things because I love them as my own (I never had children of my own and was blessed when they came into my life.) I love my husband and those boys but all of my savings is now gone. My husband and I shared that dream of having our own business and have worked hard to open an auction. We both love antiques and keeping memories alive so this business is our passion. We partnered with some friends and opened a small auction but after a very short time, we learned that we could only trust ourselves. We were extremely deceived and hurt by those who we thought were friends. We had to sever ties and thought our dream was ending but we managed to scrape together enough to salvage the building and we are trying to rebuild.

I am down but not out. I need money to invest in my and my husband's future so that after 30 years of teaching, I can live out my dream.
