Thessaloniki’s Animal Shelter

We are a group of 3 people (2 of us are vet students) that are trying to battle the unfortunate issue of stray animals in our area. That is the city of Thessaloniki,Greece. However our appartments do not have the capability to hold more than 2 or 3 animals at the same time, therefore we thought we would rent a land outside of Thessaloniki in order to care for those animals.

After doing a little research on funding from the government, we found out that they give NOTHING to such organizations and it is very hard to find sponsors to start such an effort.

This is how we came up with online fundraising. We have calculated that for our first 6 months of operation and to cater about 100 animals we are going to need a sum of 20000$.
