Therapy Practice

I am a nearly qualified integrative psychotherapist. I have studied for 5 years in London at CCPE, Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education. I am writing my last clinical case study before I graduate.

I want to work with a community of people in my town, St. Leonard’s in East Sussex. This community had little or no resources to pay a fee.

I wonder if a stranger supports me to give counselling and psychotherapy to people on a low income? Usually the average fee is £40-50 for a therapy session. I want to charge £10, which not enough to cover the expenses. I need to cover the cost of my supervision and basics, like heating. To meet the cost, every session must be £15. Every donation of £5 will cover a session.

I have two clients who are able to pay £10 a therapy hour. They need extra £5. They need therapy but unfortunately they have not enough money to pay. They both had a short therapy at NHS but that therapy is ended. They need to a long-term therapy, which I am glad to provide.

Would you support me and people who come and have therapy with me on a low or no income at all?
