The Theotokos Institute for Catholic Studies, by decree of the Archbishop of Cardiff (Roman Catholic) and the Bishop of the Eparchy of the Holy Family of London (Ukrainian Greek Catholic), seeks to serve the people of Wales and England by making available opportunities for theological study to the highest level. Faithful to tradition, our primary interest is in the sources of faith: from Scripture to the Fathers of the Church to the life and thought of the Church in the first millenium. We held our first theological conference in November 2014, and are planning on the launch of a Masters programme in Catholic Foundations (Patristics) in September 2015. In the meantime, we have a range of courses including Greek and Latin, the tradition of music in the Church, and the Christology of the Ecumenical Councils, to be offered as individual modules over the coming weeks and months. Our academic staff have all produced recognised research, and excel in teaching.
