Theo’s Recovery Fund

Theo is currently still in hospital...We are trying to establish a fund for him to ensure better medical treatment in or after hospital.

He deserves to be treated like a human!

Should the money not be used to transfer him, we will be using it for nurse care, physio and mental help.

Here is the background..he was given a scooter to be able to get to work and back. They recently lost everything they worked so hard for. They were taken for a ride by a certain person in Plett. They returned to Johannesburg to pick up the pieces.

He was on his way to work on Tue 01/12 when he had the accident, We still do not know what really happened. All we know is there was a taxi involved and that there is nothing left of scooter.

It is important to add that Theo is an epileptic. He suffered a major seizure after accident and has a broken hip, knee and bleed in brain. Thus far he has had hip fixed, 2 weeks after accident knee was done. 2 scans down and sent home without antibiotics. they overdosed him on anti seizure meds and gave him anti psychotic meds. He has been re-admitted with a raging knee infection and clear signs of head trauma - so far the hospital has not done much about head trauma except scans. The doctors will not communicate with family and nurses are beyond rude and not caring at all. Theo is often left in his own urine..

We have followed procedure and approached complaints department. Next step is CEO. Failing that Health Dept etc..We will not stop!

There are so many things I could tell you, but I wont..Instead I decided to rather use my energy and turn this into something positive for him...he needs it!

He will need medical care and check ups after leaving state hospital. Physio for hip and leg and i suspect a neurologist and perhaps psychologist. We are looking at moving him closer to the family so we can take care of him. His Fiancee has to return to work on Monday the 4th of Jan 2016.
