$1 TO BUILD A LITTLE SANCTUARY
YOUR CHANGE CAN MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE
Hi everyone! I am a cat and dog rescuer and adopter based in Philippines. For the last five years, I have rescued several cats in which 41 is now with me plus 12 dogs.
They say to judge a place, look at the strays. In my country, there are thousands of strays present in the streets. Most of them are unbreeded cats or dogs. The country has less than 10 no kill shelters by non-government organizations which are always at full capacity. The most-known shelter has been doing their best to make our government recognize the stray population. In every city or province, there is an animal pound. They catch several cats and dogs everyday in which most remain uclaimed, thus eithanized. That's when I decided to open my home to strays.
My partner and I live in <20sqm apartment in a city, no yard or lawn. The pets has been indoors, some of them go out sometimes to play when our neighbors are out. I can say that we're living here well except for the following issues:
1) We got no sunlight.
2) The house is in a flood-prone area. We have been flooded twice within our stay.
3)The total number of rescues is hidden from the public.
4)Our new neighbor might complain about it when they find it out.
5)Our landlord doesn't know we have that many.
We have been thinking of ways on how to make our situation be different and the best choice that we have is to move to a new place. Can you help us make it possible before this year ends?
Please donate your $1 change to help us build our little sanctuary.
