ORDER A TANK | SAVE A JOB

My fundraising campaign aims to help a small group of Chinese factory workers, impacted by the Coronavirus, get back to work. They are a subset of the vast majority of 'healthy' people in China – the people who the media refer to as the 'supply chain'. To me, although they are my supply chain, they are far more than that. They are people I know – they have names and faces and families to support – and they haven't been able to get back to work and earn an income because of the restrictions the Chinese government put in place to contain the Coronavirus and help keep the rest of the world safe. They need their jobs. I want to help them.

A BRIEF BACKGROUND TO MY CAMPAIGN

LoveIt, the business I founded in Hong Kong in 2008, specializes in clothing for women over 30. LoveIt is unique because we offer our clients the opportunity to customize our garments to suit their specific body shapes & sizes. It's amazing how confident any woman can look and feel, no matter what her shape and size, when her clothes actually fit properly. I never tire of my passion for helping women be their best selves, which is one of the reasons LoveIt has been awarded the Best Independent Boutique in Hong Kong in 2019 and again in January 2020 by Expat Living magazine’s Readers’ Choice Awards.

THE PROBLEM

The problem is that LoveIt can't continue to serve our customers in our unique way if we can't customize our garments, and we can't customize our garments without our small partner factories in China. The restrictions in China are slowly starting to lift and our partner factories estimate that the majority of their workers will return to work by the middle of March 2020.

This great news is tempered however, by a challenge of a different kind. Because our partner factories have been closed for so long, the orders they would normally expect have been cancelled or moved to other countries. Without a full order book, they can't pay their workers, even if those workers can return to work.

WHAT WILL SOLVE THE PROBLEM & HOW YOU CAN HELP

There are 3 ways you can help:

The fastest way to get our partner factory workers back to work AND paid is to give them a bulk order that is easy to produce and fast to deliver. Because the vast majority of LoveIt orders are customized, bulk ordering is not something that we generally do. After researching and collaborating with our customers on possible styles, we came up with the concept of “The 500 TANK CHALLENGE”. A tank is not only easy and fast to produce, it's an item that almost every woman finds incredibly useful, no matter her age, shape or size.

Why a LoveIt tank? Aside from the incredible fit, what makes a LoveIt tank so special is the fabric. Our plush cotton jersey is so deliciously sensual against the skin that our customers love wearing our tanks all year. Tanks are so versatile – our customers wear them to work under suit jackets, with jeans and shorts on holidays, and, snuggly soft, even to bed.

ORDER A TANK | SAVE A JOB - THE 500 TANK CHALLENGE

The concept is simple. By ordering a tank, you are saving a job.

Our goal is to give our partner factories an order for 500 tanks when they reopen on 15^th March 2020, hence "the 500 Tank Challenge".

We launched this part of our fundraising campaign one week ago on the LoveIt Website https://www.loveit.com.hk/order-a-tank-save-a-job/ and have already reached 79% of our target (this is represented in our offline donations)

I need your help to get us the rest of the way there.

To help, all you need to do is order a LoveIt tank(s) for the cost of HK $300 (normal retail value is HK $600) then sit back, relax and wait a few short weeks for it to be delivered to either yourself, or that special woman in your life.

2. MAKE A DONATION
