I have the oppotunity to do what I love most in this world, which is to help those in need. I know I am a single person but one person can make a differece. I have the power to teach, build and lead a community & with me and everyone else in the EDventure Volunteer program, we can make a big difference altogether. As a volunteer I will be engaging in humanitarian and conservation projects. I want and will make an empowering difference to the local community through construction, development, and education projects. I am doing this because I want everyone to have a little bit of happiness in this world even through the smallest details, because we ve all deserve it. We, every single one of us have something to give && I am ready to give to the world. Here is a little description of the community I want & will help:
A Little About South Africa
One of the most intriguing things about South African culture is its incredible diversity. South Africa is not one single culture, but rather a range of different cultures and eleven official languages. This stems from centuries of settlement and emigration from Africa and the rest of the world, and has resulted with South Africa being warmly referred to as the ‘rainbow nation’.
While the diverse population gives South Africa a unique cultural flavor, the South African majority consists of rural inhabitants living largely impoverished lives. The multiethnic communities are still stricken with poverty, poor health, and low levels of education. There is no mistaking the significant difference in the socioeconomic structure with so many of the country’s citizens living in absolute poverty.
Here, we have a great opportunity to make a significant impact in the development of these rural communities and facilitate youth outreach and health and development programs that will improve the both the living conditions of individuals in the community, and provide opportunities for a brighter future for many. So please help out with any donations to make my dream come true to help those in need with what I can do for them.
