Who are we?

The Wonder Women are a bunch of sporty ladies, born in Belgium, but running a bit everywhere. We are all linked to one another, as high-school friends, university party buddies, travel-lovers, sisters, (après) ski maniacs … Some are more sporty than the other, but we all like a challenge!

After a long time of not being able to see each other "in person" many of us discovered on the Strava (running) App that during lockdown most of us got infected by the running virus as well.

Why Wonder Women?

Because we are! Each one of us experienced or accomplished something extraordinary. We each have our story that allows us to be considered a Wonder Woman. And to be honest, aren’t all women just wonderful 😉

What are we trying to do?

We started our own virtual running Club, the Wonder Women, and set ourselves a goal to stay healthy (and sane) in 2021. Together we already ran a combined amount of 2021K in the first half of the year. But we wanted to do a bit more ...

We decided to start raising funds for a cause that is very near and dear to our hearts. Some of us lost a close family member or friend to cancer (Kahler's disease in particular). With the funds we will support the Belgian running teams "Charlie's Angels" who are running the 100K run in Belgium organized by Stand Up 2 Cancer. In addition we will support other initiatives that support those battling cancer.

Why supporting us?

We are a bunch of fun women - who can use that little encouragement and keep going. We commit to run as many kilometers as we raise dollars or euro's.
