My girlfriend and I are college students and at the end of the term we are planning to this amazing pilgrimage.
Our goal is to explore our souls as well as to prove ourself that we are able to do this challenging hike. During this adventure we will walk a minimum of 25 kilometers a day for a total of approximativaly 900 km for a month.
Here's a bit of information about Saint James Pilgrimage:
"Today tens of thousands of Christian pilgrims and many other travellers set out each year from their front doorstep, or popular starting points across Europe, to make their way to Santiago de Compostela. Most travel by foot, some by bicycle, and a few travel as some of their medieval counterparts did, on horseback or by donkey... In addition to people undertaking a religious pilgrimage, the majority are travellers and hikers who walk the route for non-religious reasons: travel, sport, or simply the challenge of weeks of walking in a foreign land. Also, many consider the experience a spiritual adventure to remove themselves from the bustle of modern life. It serves as a retreat for many modern "pilgrims". (Wikipedia)
We a deaply grateful to all our donors because this adventure is really meaningful for both of us. Finally, we do understnd that every penny counts.
Thank you for your help.
