The Ultimate Basement Youth Alternatives

The Ultimate Basement Youth Alternatives, a non-profit corporation serving Rutherford County, NC. and surrounding counties, is committed to filling the void in an empty generation through building relationships in a contemporary, caring, exciting and enjoyable way. 

The Ultimate Basement Youth Alternatives accomplishes its mission by: 

1. Social and Recreation:  To organize a variety of fun community assistance, social & recreational programs and trips in a safe and positive environment.
2. Fundraising:  Responsible for generating financial support by raising funds for the immediate relief and assistance to those in need and/or suffering regardless of race, ethnicity or religion.
3. Community Service:  To organize community service projects that will provide an opportunity for members to unselfishly give their time in order to improve the quality of life for people in need; also to make a difference by contributing their time, energy and talents to strengthen our community. 
4. Teen Center:  To utilize the Teen Center for a variety of fun social events and activities promoting respect, acceptance and social skills.
5. School Issues/Education Ad Hoc Committee:  Address any school issues that may be brought up and sponsor an alcohol and/or drug awareness program. Provide mentoring and internships to students seeking a career in areas that we can provide. Provide free training opportunities in our computer lab/homework area as well as music lessons or other performance arts related fields.
6. Youth Advisory Council: Offer an open forum to foster communication, education and information concerning youth and youth-related issues. The Youth Council provides students in grades 9-12 with social activities in a safe and positive environment, while promoting individual self-esteem and leadership through participation in meetings, events and community service projects.
