“The Tongass Project”

As most of you already know, I am an avid Fisherman and Environmental activist. Having volunteered numerous hours at various Fish hatcheries and other Environmental Organizations, I am going to take it one step further and develop a short film on the Salmon & Steelhead Habitats of the Tongass National Rainforest in Southeast Alaska in collaboration with Trout Unlimited Alaska and Patagonia.

The project will contain various types of media with several different creative angles. We will be incorporating Camcorders, DSLR Cameras, Drones, underwater cameras and "360 degree" VR cameras in the build. All of these avenues will be used to help portray the adverse affects that man has on the Tongass Rainforest in hopes of creating awareness to combat the ever changing conditions that are so negatively affecting our fisheries.

The film itself will be submitted to the International Fly Fishing Film Tour, the Drake Tour and will also be released to the public as a "Private Short Film". We will also be creating full marketing campaigns for the film to help further the reach of the project and its cause.

The total cost of the film is estimated at around $5000.00. With the time frame given for the project, I am hoping that my friends and family would help me fund this career changing project. The following is a list of the expenses that will need to be covered:

• Gear Rental (Any gear needed on top of the gear we have)
• Travel (including flights, camping, fuel)
• Permits (including both photography & fishing permits)
• Food

This is a very important project for myself and my company, not only for the personal factor but because I feel that it is something that simply needs to happen.
