The Toby Penrose fund

This is my fundraising page to help raise money for a very special 10 year old boy called Toby who has recently been diagnosed with the terminal disorder Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD). Toby's parents are very good friends of mine who live in Truro in Cornwall and I didn't think twice about trying to help the family when I found out this devastating news. ALD is a rare inherited disorder that affects the adrenal glands and "white matter" of the brain causing a progressive loss of physical and mental skills. Sadly as I said at the beginning of this, Toby is terminally ill.

With the help of my husband, Luke, we are going to try and raise as much money as possible to give directly to Toby and his family as we want them to be able to use the money raised to make lots of happy memories with each other and for Toby to experience as much as possible in his short life he will have.

To raise this money, myself and Luke will be taking part in a 5K obstacle mud run on September 26th 2015 at Merevale Estate in Atherstone, Warwickshire. It will involve us running through obstacles, running up and down hills and obviously running through mud so it will get very messy!!

I am asking for you to try and dig as deep as possible to donate to this fund that is very close to my heart as I hope you agree, this money will help a very brave young boy and his family enjoy their precious and limited time together.
