The Target: Galway Fringe Festival 2017. July 26th- 29th.
This is a story about a man, whose life is giving him a chance to change. However, his attitude makes him misread and eventually ignore this opportunity. Don’t be surprised if you feel a connection or even a sympathy towards the man because it’s someone very much like you. Get ready to laugh at him, get worried at times, and learn together an important life lesson. This is a Shadow Puppet Theatre for a new generation, where the difference between light and dark creates space for unique style and storytelling.
Claudikat is an artistic project formed by a duet of international visual artists, the Italian Claudia Lamantea and the Russian Katya Solomatina. The Two girls met in Dublin at the LIR Academy of Dramatic Arts two years ago, from which they are both about to graduate this year. After working on the latest Macnas parade in Galway and Dublin the two fell in love with the world of shadow puppetry and decided to start this exciting project.
Peter Parish is a Lighting Designer from San Francisco, CA.
Tj Lynn is a Set Designer from Boston. MA.
We have paid for the cost of traveling the show to Galway ourselves. As recent graduates, this represents a great opportunity to perform in the Galway Arts festival and bring our work to new eyes. Unfortunately, just being out of college means money is tight - and we're hoping to cover the expenses of making the show!
Lodging for 5 nights, 6 days in Galway - (4 people) = 700.00
Cost of Materials, Matteboard, Bamboo Sticks, Gels, Paint = 300.00
Print Advertising, Stickers = 100.00
Travel = 100.00
The project is already underway, accommodations booked, Festival approved. Traveling to Galway on Monday, the 24th of July.
