The Suffering 10km #CatInAHat

So, last year I ran The Pain & Suffering 10 miler just for 'fun' and for my own personal sense of achievement, and I have to say that, after the mud was all washed off and the cramps had faded away, I felt absolutely great! On Saturday I ran the 10km version but for different reasons.  Myself and a group of 10 other like-minded people were all trying to raise some money and awareness for an excellent cause and we decided to all run together as a team. Although the time may have been slower, the fact that I was running alongside family and friends both old and new made it an amazing experience.  The camaraderie and laugh we had around the course was brilliant and the 'no soldier gets left behind’ mentality meant it was 100 times better than the last time I did it. Sadly, brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer yet only 1% of the national spend on cancer research is allocated to this devastating disease.
