The South Pacific Experience

Hello Everyone!

    My name is Erin. I am 16 years old and live in a small town near Chicago, Illinois. Every year, my school takes various trips to places around the world in order to expand our knowledge and understanding of other cultures. Due to my father being unemployed for a long time njow because of the economy, participating has never been an option for me. I have never left the country or even gone on a family vacation. i am so intrigued by other countries and cultures, and this summer, I am hoping for a change.

    Our school's trip this year is a 16 day long voyage to Hawaii, Fiji, New Zealand, and Australia. The trip, in total, cost $5000 including food, lodging, transportation, and the various learning activities taking place at each location.

  My goal is to see more than the limits of my small town before I head off to college next year. I am well aware that there is more out there begging to be discovered. And I'm ready to hear their cries. With the help of you contributors, I know that we can make my dream a reality. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated.
