My name is Michelle and this is our battle story.

My Papa (Nilo Taopa) suffered stroke when I was in college and we were surprised by the news that my Mama (Maria Raide Taopa) also has 4th stage kidney failure which would require her to undergo twice a week dialysis for a lifetime. My family was financially exhausted. We needed to line up in government offices so we could avail financial assistance.

After 4 long years of her dialysis sessions, mama suddenly felt weak. Last 2014, mama had a tumor in her spine and underwent a major operation. After the biopsy, she was diagnosed with cancer. I was in denial then. But mama was in pain, seriously in pain. After a month, the Lord finally answered our prayers. The Lord performed a big and amazing miracle to mama. Her cancer was totally gone. The doctors were amazed of what happened. I couldn't just imagine how I felt at that time. I was blessed by the Lord’s healing!

Now, here we are again battling for another fight. My mama again felt weak and we rushed her over to the hospital. The doctor’s found out that aside from mama's kidney problem, she has been diagnosed with CVA infarct on frontal lobe, meaning there is a blockage of blood vessel in her brain. The affected area is the waking up and ability to think, that's why she has difficulty of waking up and no proper response on her body having an involuntary movements. Aside from that she is also diagnosed with Pneumonia. We are now almost 1 month in the hospital and we don’t know where to get funds since I am the only one having a stable job and the bread winner of the family. We are also saddened that a government office in our place refuses to give us assistance because we are always asking for financial aid for almost 8 years now.

We remain strong and steadfast with our trust in the Lord and I know my mama is also fighting for her healing. Mama is so strong in faith and we cannot just give up because we can see that her soul is really fighting and is eager to see another miracle that will come.

We would like to ask from your generous hearts any amount that can help us for medication, hospital bills, treatment, antibiotics and other hospital expenses. I believe that in your generous hearts God will prosper you, for God loves a cheerful giver.

2 Corinthians 9:6-8 “The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.”
