We are a group of final year Information Technology Students developing a Mobile Application that will create thousands of Jobs for youthful social workers & Medics whilst providing Guidance & Counselling, Medical Advise, Diagnosis & Referral through a Mobile Application in Uganda.
There are scenarios where people have to walk or brave harsh conditions to travel several miles to seek basic health care, guidance and counselling which can be provided from the comfort of their smartphone.
Many Youth in Uganda are not very comfortable discussing sexual-reproductive issues with family and friends so this platform will provide a platform to do so anonymously.
Users will be able to sign up as patients or Social Workers/Medics who will be vetted to make sure they are authorized to provide such services.
The patients will be matched to the most suitable person to address their issue in the database.
The app will ease access to social workers and medical personnel in hard to reach areas and make it easier for the youth to seek guidance and counselling regard sexual-reproductive health issues
The funds are meant to aid research and further development of the mobile application and most importantly to pay the social workers and medics as well as to create a pool of funds for investment to ensure continuity of the project.
Many Youth especially Social Workers and Medics are unemployed or under employed and yet they are the back bone of Society.
The goal is to employ thousands of social workers and medics to improve the physical and mental health of Society to give them a better chance to create employment or seek meaningful employment.
We also seek to have a pool of funds some which will be used to pay the social workers & medics as well as create an investment fund for the youth where we will partner to create ventures that will further create employment and grow the pool of funds to ensure continuity.
