Dear Awesome Donors,

I know foremost your going ask yourself

1. Who is this?

My name is Juan Hernandez and I live in the San Fernando Valley located within L.A. I am 16 years of age and attend highschool as a Junior (11th grade). I hope to later on go forward into college and major in Aerospace. As of now I am athlete and love sports and hope to do my first triathlon this year being that I have done a few marathons in the past. I am as well in a FIRST Robotics club and am president/ Lead mechanical design engineer fo my Team. Take a look at their organiztion's page http://www.usfirst.org/ its Pretty Cool what they do for students like myself. Finally, I love the world we live in and therefore am vice President of our school's Enviromental club!:)

 2. Why am I here asking for help of my fellow samaritans?

My story: As a little kid I am sure all of you at least once haved actually really tried jumping as high as you possibly could reach and imagine you had really touched the sky and been the exception to gravity. Well that was me everday day since the first time I saw a plane take off and knew flying was going be a passion of mine. Three years ago, my freshman year, (9th grade), I was offered a rare opportunity at the Vannuys airport to take a Airframe Mechanic 2-year course and get certified all paid being that I was in highschool. Unfortunately with the district getting so many budget cuts as mostly with everything now a days they weren't able to offer the evening classes anymore disabling me to attend being that I attend highschool for half of my day. Moreover, my father later had an accident disabling him for nearly two years due to a traumatic leg injury. But thankfully they did Not amputated. To support my family I started to work, barely having turned 16 a few weeks after my birthday at a close-by Carls Jr. fast-food place that had given me the chance to partially support my family. My dad has now started working the beginning of this year after 1 1/2 years of being not medically cleard. My grades dropped because of it Most of the time just sleeping 5 1/2 hours daily. But now I am working hard to catch up and gain back the work habit I lost. Being that I have always wanted to fly and still work I decided to go find out about flight training and the fees included. To my surprise it is a very expensive thing that at this rate it would take me 2 1/2 years to raise money for it. Financially my family does not support me anymore but I help myself with the bit of money I still make so taking care of my other 2 brothers would be easier for my beloved parents. So I ask of the Community, Family, Friends, Aquaintances, and the world I live in if you would kindly sponsor/help me out and make a  long life dream come true. If words of support is all you are capable of I will be much appreciative of that. I ask if you can pass this on to anyone who may be able to support me I will be so Thankful! Thank You So much! Really since this is the first time I ever ask for help of this kind I don't know how it'll be being that I have always liked to volunteer and help others in need often going to a local food bank instead of my ownself. So I guess Good luck to myself!

3. Where will your Kind Donations Go?

It will pay for cost of instruction and any other fees included into training in the plane. Will not only help me but any extra donations will be donated to charities or help the many other teens that have a passion for flying as I do but financially would never be able to afford it!

 4. What Do You Get In Return?

Actually I don't know since I know some people give all sorts of stuff or do really crazy stuff like dying their hair green. But, However, if you have any suggestions I would likely consider them. And if you live in Southern California I would most likely once having gotten my private pilot license give You a ride around L.A.

Well once agian Thank You very much and just give anything you can it being a penny to a dollar or just words of support to me and many other teens that have the same passion and dream as I do!

Thank You World!,

Hernandez Juan
