The Sanctuary – A dream come true

Ever thought about the possibility of doing your usual meditation, dance or Yoga practices in a different way?

Discover one of our cherished projects that we've been working on since 2018. It’s all about a very welcoming place where you can be in touch with nature at all times and where you can practice Yoga, meditation, dance or explore whichever path towards self-development you may fancy.

Not so long ago, fortune smiled on us and we’ve secured an ideal place (40 km away from Bucharest) close to the river Neajlov where we could set our plans in motion. We are thrilled to have made the first step towards fulfilling our dream and we're excited make it happen.

What’s next?

The property has been neglected for almost 30 years and we aim to undertake renovation works or possibly completely rebuild the derelict old house (photo on the right – the sunken roof, the rotted timber casement windows and porch, the outdated electrical wiring). We must dig a new well and pass all sampling tests for water quality and last but not least deweed and redesign the garden in such a way that it keeps its traditional cottage style. We want to clear enough space to build a second cottage on the same land for those of you who would like to spend time away and escape the stress and overcrowding of the big cities.

We are endeavouring to create a small sanctuary for abandoned pets. There will also be an outdoor pavilion for practicing Yoga, dance and other fun and healthful activities throughout the year. You will be able enjoy the simple pleasures such as picking your own fruits and veggies from our garden and small orchard.

The Sanctuary will be the centerpiece of a non-profit organization, and the heart of a community of like-minded people who love oriental disciplines, meditation and dance as much as we do. But we need further help so that this venture can come to life. This is where you can give us a hand!

As you know the Coronavirus pandemic has been going on for a while and our dance and Yoga studios have been closed for nearly 3 months now.
