The Romania project 2015

After years of running this successful project, we have decided to do it again.The team know there is a lot of effort to be put in as we need to raise £10000 by next summer In order for us to go.

Here is a bit of information about what we do over there:

15 pupils from St Antony's will travel over 2000miles from Manchester to Sibiu, in the heart of Romania. The main purpose of the project is to provide children who are neglected,disregarded from society,a chance to,participate in fun activities but more importantly, an opportunity to feel included and cared for. The villages we visit are extremely poor and the children live in small,simple house with no running water, electricity. The children are given gifts such as clothes,football shirts,toothbrushes,toothpaste, bars of soap and other items-many of which we take for granted but are greatly appreciated by them. What we do lasts in their memory and they genuinely remember out kindness for years to come. in addition to benefitting the children of Romania, it is very important for those at St Antony's to see and experience a life very different to thier own and to make us appreciate what we have.
