The Roberts family/Acorn To Oak

As most you may already know, our dear friends Vivian, Rich, Zoe & Skye Roberts lost their home, preschool and belongings in a house fire earlier this year. What little they salvaged was later stolen from a storage unit from their land.

Vivian showed amazing strength and positivity throughout everything that was thrown at them this year, thankful for her families health and safety, and for the current school families that stuck with them through this transient time.

The insurance battle was gruelling, and the process of finding a new house was financially draining, but we are happy to report that they have finally moved into their new forever home, and they couldn't be happier.

It is a lovely country home set back in a natural wooded setting with land. Absolutely perfect for this wonderful family and Vivian's school. They can now focus on rebuilding their lives, and making this house their home and livelihood.

As you can imagine, the financial strain this has put them under has been immense. Vivian is such a proud and generous lady, and would never ask for help from anyone, but I thought it might be a nice if we could pull together a "getting back on your feet fund" for them. They are in urgent need of larger household necessities, such as a washer/dryer, that are too much for them to purchase right now. Maybe a fund from friends could help them get back on their feet just in time for the holiday season?

I know that some of you have done a lot to support this family over the past months, so I totally understand if you choose not to donate on here. (They make you stipulate a donation goal on here, but any amount will help. No donation too small).

If you would like to contribute to this cause, then there is a short deadline in the hope that we can deliver a check sooner rather than later, hopefully in time for Thanksgiving weekend.

I WANT TO KEEP THIS A SURPRISE FOR THE FAMILY, so please don't mention it if you seem them in the meantime :)
