The reason my end date is November 1st is because I recieved an extension on my final payment from Class Afloat. This is helping me to get additional time to raise the funds.
Thank you to everyone for supporting me to far. I am now officially going to be a sailor!
FRESH VIDEO UPDATE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVHvmQeNOCY
How many people have you met that can sail a tall ship around the world? In one month from now, I will be one of those people!!! To be able to do this is unfathomable.
My name is Quinton Lucyk, and now I have an opportunity to sail a tall ship around the world for eight months without missing a day of school! The Class Afloat program (http://www.classafloat.com) is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that challenges Canadian youth from across the country to be the best they can and take a positive role in the world around them. I was one of sixty successful candidates and set sail in August.
While abroad the ship we will visit approximately twenty ports of call with projects and activities ranging from camel treks in Arabia to volunteer work in Africa. All that remains now is the small matter of raising the last $15,000 fee.
This is where you come in!
With your help, I will be able to pay for my tuition. Every dollar is appreciated, and no money will be wasted!
If for some reason I cannot raise the full amount I need to be able to sail this coming September, I plan to use it towards the following year's tuition.
If for some reason I am fortunate enough to raise funds beyond my goal amount, I will use those extra funds to help another fellow Class Afloat mate who is also fundraising his/her tuition and fees!
You can donate here on Gogetfunding.com, or you can send a check or money order to the address below:

(If you're more comfortable donating directly to the program on my behalf, please make your check/money order out to Class Afloat, with my name and school year in the memo line, and send it to the address above! Then we'll send donations as a bundle to the school!)
If you have any questions about my plans before (or after!) donating, please don't hesitate to ask!
For my grandfather it was "join the navy see the world." For me it’s all about Class Afloat.
