Right now, only 83 percent of the world’s children who go to school complete elementary school, and just 45 percent of students, less than half, aged 15 to 17 will finish secondary school. Poverty not only affects learning and well-being, it has far reaching implications for the individual student. Children and young adults in many parts of the world are not provided with the basic education they need to help create a future that is not tainted by poverty. However, many young people, despite socioeconomic challenges such as poverty, are change agents in their local schools and communities. These young people are also blessed with dreams for a better future. It has been said that behind every innovator, creator, and leader are friends, mentors, and supporters who helped them succeed.
Our mission is to INSPIRE, to EDUCATE, to EMPOWER young people to CHANGE the world. We will do this with the vision of creating a global community of empowered young people, joined together through the mission of the Promise Foundation International.
With your help, we can be a community of support for the leaders of the now generation.
