Hello!

I’m creating this campaign to help fund my pet cat, Olive’s, medical bills.

I recently adopted Olive, an 8-year-old stray cat, who was being fostered by a friend. We took him for his first vet check-up to get him sterilized. The nurse at the clinic said the doctor would perform a general health check-up in addition to the sterilization. Everything seemed fine.

When we brought him home, I noticed that he kept shaking his head, and would scratch his ear with his hind legs, a sign of ear mites. My brother also highlighted that he saw Olive straining to defacate. I took him to a different vet and this time, he was diagnosed with chronic constipation. The vet said the stool in his colon was so large, it was the size of a human wrist (I felt it and yes, it was huge.) She said that had we brought Olive in any later, his colon would have ruptured. In addition to this, the vet said this problem could have been going on for years. It was overwhelming news to take in since I initially thought everything was alright since the first vet visit, only a week ago.

Olive is currently hospitalized and will be on an IV drip for the next few days. The vet will perform enemas to try and get the stool out. However, should this procedure fail to remove all the stool, Olive may have to undergo surgery. Currently, the bill is set at $500, but will increase if surgery or any other treatment is needed.

Any amount donated will be appreciated, however, if you can’t help financially, do help me spread the word! Thank you!
