I just wanted to thank everybody for the magnificent effort that is being made to save the badgers in Gloucestershire. From the people manning the telephones night and day, to the sett sitters and sett monitors driving and walking all over the cull zone. There are sabs and ordinary individuals working side by side, night and day in these stormy wet conditions. They are now, more often than not, cold, exhausted, sleep deprived, tired of the hassle from police and pro cullers but totally determined to stay and fight for the badgers with the right help from us.
Badgers are dead. Badgers are dying right now as i write. Badgers are in cages waitingto be shot. Badgers are following peanut trails to their death straight out of the setts that they have lived in for generations. You may be their only hope of safety, of living for another day or another week, of seeing the autumn through and getting pregnant, of overwintering to give birth in the early spring. Your money, will save them, make a future possible by enabling us to pay for fuel for volunteers to protect them. It will help us to pay phone bills in the office, to get new socks and bedding that has rotted or gone mouldy in the damp, to pay for electricity at the camps and much more.
If you have £1 to spare, spare it please. I know christmas is coming, what a great present it would be to have saved a badgers life.
The total on the fund shows how much has been raised since we started but it doesn't show where it has gone and it has nearly. We are desperate for funds still. In these last two weeks, if you can help, you will SAVE A BADGERS LIFE. We don't know if the cull will be extended, don't believe the pro cull publicity that they are reaching their targets. Its not true. If it is extended , all the costs will continue and the pain and suffering too.
Donate tweet and share if you can please. Lets keep SAVING THE BADGERS TOGETHER.
