The Northeast FOREX Trading Academy

The Northeast FOREX Trading Academy is a developmental stage non-profit organization whose principal mission is to provide a free elementary education in the field of foreign currency exchange trading (FOREX) to all candidates that register for training in the academy. The free education offered by the academy includes occupational training, support for job placement, and an opportunity to trade the academy's investment capital in a live trading account.

Who is Mark Soveign?

The Northeast FOREX Trading Academy is headed up by Executive Director and author J. Mark Soveign. Mr. Soveign has been active in the foreign currency markets since 1995, and possesses many years of experience trading stocks, bonds, options, and commodity futures contracts. Most of the NE FOREX training classes offered by the NE Forex Academy will be conducted by Mr. Soveign himself.

Our Mandate

The mandate of the academy is to become a reliable provider of alternative career guidance and professional support within a system where meaningful economic and educational resources are so woefully lacking.

The free education offered by the academy includes occupational training, support for job placement, and an opportunity to trade the academy's investment capital in a live trading account.   

Enrollment in the academy is free and open to all citizens of the Northeast United States that are:  1) of full age.  2) have access to a computer connected to the Internet.  3) willing and able to attend regular classes and meetings in the region of Union County in New Jersey.Candidates that successfully complete the full training program (about 9 months) will be given a live FOREX trading account to trade, and will be paid cash bonuses based on their actual trading performance.

Fund Raising

From time to time the Academy conducts fund raising activities in order to obtain working capital used to fund the pro-forma trading accounts of students graduating from the Academy. Some of our graduates are introduced directly into the capital markets trading industry where they can be interviewed for positions as proprietary desk traders. Some are introduced to private investors who are looking to hire private money managers. In every case, a track record demonstrating evidence of sustained profitability over time trading with REAL money is a necessary prerequisite to obtaining such advantages. The Academy intends to avail itself to a series of fund raising events here and on its own website for the purposes of funding these pro-forma accounts.
