The need is greater than we can service!

Paws On Wheels Mobile Grooming is located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and has been in business since July 2013.

We started with two people, one vehicle and saw the large untapped market of in-home mobile pet grooming and knew we could fill a portion of it.

In-shop pet grooming has largely become an assembly line operation which does fit a majority of young, healthy and socially well adjusted pets. We have discovered that there is a large population of cats and dogs that don't fit in with the in-shop grooming process due to age, health and a lack of social skills.

When we started this venture three years ago the majority of our clients were healthy, well adjusted animals and their owners were looking for an alternative to taking them into a shop environment, leaving them all day and having them caged until pickup time.

As word of our services grew we started hearing from a different clientele, these are the people that have older animals that couldn't physically get into a vehicle and travel to a groomer or the rescue animal that may have a variety of physical and psychological impairments that a normal grooming shop would not accommodate.

We tailor the grooming experience to each pet's specialized physical and psychological requirements to make it as positive as possible and lower the stress and/or concerns of their human family.

As of right now, March 2016 we currently have over 900 clients and we are continuing to grow. The wonderful dilemma that we are facing is that we cannot keep up with the overwhelming demand for our specialized services. Due to the services that we provide our wait time for a booking can range anywhere from 3-6 weeks. Because of the long wait times there are approximately10-15 people each week that cannot wait and must seek services from conventional grooming shops which are not ideal for their pets.

In order to service a greater volume of these valued companion animals we need to invest in two additional vehicles and equip and train the teams necessary to operate them.
