The Music Mayhem Project continues to strengthen its commitment to music education through its new relationship with the Music & Youth Initiative, a comprehensive after school music education program for under served Detroit youth, ages 6-20. The Music & Youth Initiative uses music as a vehicle to improve academic, social, and vocational skills while building self-confidence and self esteem. Each year, over 250 young people visit The Music Mayhem Project and receive high quality music education from professional artists and music educators. Our equipment is used and donated and We currently only have instruments for a few kids, and we're in dire need of Music stands, Music books, and a better enviornment, When I started this program 3 years ago, I started with a dream to be able to bring Music to Detroit's youth, We have kids enrolled in a program that may not exsist after this month, Please help! Without this program these kids will be back on the streets where there is no guidence or direction, Please Don't Just Let The Music Play.....Let It Be Heard!!
The music mayhem project is in need of funding, Although this is a non profit organization, we are not federally or state funded, But are currently working on getting our 501(c)(3) status. All equipment is donated as are the services of the staff. WE NEED YOUR HELP! Our Facilities have currently gone into foreclosure and we are trying to raise enough money to get a better fitting facility for our staff and kids. please donate to the campaign and make this program possible for years to come. God Bless
