To our potential Funders - A warm Hello from Sunny South Africa!
We are small group of rural woman based in an area called Mbazwana on the north coast of Kwazulu- Natal South Africa . Our start up business called, The Weavers Hut, has been operational since October 2015. In these past 18 months, we have learnt to create, craft and weave and we absolutely LOVE what we do.
We are needing funds for fuel and accommodation expenses as we are planning to trade and sell our products for the first time, at the National Arts Festival being held in Grahamstown (Eastern Cape) which is approximately 800 km from where we live. The Festival is being held over 10 days from 29th June to 09th July 2017 and attracts artists and patrons both Nationally and Internationally.
We are confident that we will be successful as our hand woven products are 100% organic using natural wool (weft) and cotton (warp) with genuine leather trim on our bags. We are proud of the high quality and durability craft we are making . They are also funky and unique.
By assisting us with funds for transport and accommodation expenses, this will give The Weavers Hut the 'Kick Start" it needs to get our name out there.
The profits from our sales will be put back into our business and will also pay towards the fuel and accommodation expenses to the next festival which we will be attending in September.
Our objective is to establish a profitable business and we aspire to play a role in social development within our own community.
We look forward to sending you a reward.
