We're a team of South African creatives who've published Chapter 1 of our comic, The Missionaries: Initiation, as an ebook (priced at $1), as well gratis to Webtoons (+6 million visitors), and seek to fund Chapter 2.
About The Missionaries
This is a story of four young South Africans set on stopping Walt Richter’s evil plans.
After protagonists Izak, Johan, Jean, and Nina perform a life-saving good deed, they experience a mystical encounter with a being that'll change their lives, and the lives of their friends Bongi, Tumi and Hannah, forever.
They embark on their most challenging journey ever—one of discovery and to outsmart Walt and his malevolent forces.
A coming of age story of young people growing up in an ordinary world, with extraordinary happenings. Not only do they have to fight supernatural enemies, but also... the enemy within.
The brave group have their faith, strength and character tested, where greed and lust for power rule the day.

Creative Producer's Note
I have always been passionate about fantasy, sci-fi, and more; it's a way of escaping the constraints of my disability, and in turn, I want to help others escape their own personal constraints.
My imagination, in many ways, has always kept me going; a fire inside that won't let go—keeps you lit when all other lights go out. A light that moves me forward, illuminating a dark reality.
Nothing inspires me quite like fantasy, and now I want to share this universe I’ve created with you.
With your help, and only your help, we can keep creating something unique, that isn’t going to manifest without you. What you read in comics today are forward moving and forward thinking, but pretty much stuck in a present we haven’t had since the 90s.
I, personally, wish to move forward; stand on the shoulders of the works of fiction I’ve loved both growing up, as well as contemporary. I’m surrounded by a world that speaks to me in a way I can’t explain to others, and this comic will sort of be an avatar of myself, speaking my own words in a way I’ve never been able to articulate. I’m going to speak, and I need your help to get my words onto the page.
I know this is a large amount of money to be asking for, but with it we are going to use it to keep the production quality as high as possible for the project. We have a solid and passionate team to make this not just a good comic, but a great one.
This story is about people who start off as nothing, and strive to make their mark on a world that has never noticed them before. Along the way, they’ll find friends… and foes. They might also vanish one-by-one into the unforgiving ether; the fog of life that swallows up all who are born into it, eventually.
