The Mind Once Enlightened Can Not Again Become Dark

"The capacity to learn is a gift, the ability to learn is a skill, and the willingness to learn is a choice"; however, the ability to fund education is an entirely different chapter. My name is Kaitlyn and I'm currently a college student at a community college near Charlotte. My entire life I've wanted nothing more than to attend a university and receive an education that will further my mind, as well as, my future. Education, to me, is the epitome of personal accomplishment. To broaden one's mind opens myriads of possibilities for one's future. This world is a wondrous place filled with diversity and culture. Being well-educated only opens the door a little further in order to go out and experience all that life has to offer. Throughout my life, I've suffered with depression, yet I've learned that with experience comes breakthrough. When we as humans learn and experience, we grow as a person. We become more understanding, more forgiving, and more compassionate. The more we know, the more we think of others before ourselves, and the more we care about humanity as we discover a little bit of our own. Therefore, I ask that you would help me to further my education in the hopes that one day I may do the same for another. "A man doesn't plant a tree for himself, but for posterity".
