The Lexington Short Film Festival

Hi I am Dina Raymond and as some of you know, my son is lives in Lexington, Kentucky where he is highly involved in the blossoming Film community. He has been involved in many features and Short Films both being produced in Kentucky. He now wants to showcase Short Films. So he and his friends in the Lexington Short Film Society decided to go and make a Festival. This Festival will showcase films from 3 to 15 minutes. It will show the talent and character they have in the film making world. It will also help with promoting fellow Filmmakers in their area.

What they've done: They have already vetted through films and selected films for viewing, have determined the selection of the first 10 films to be shown and we will be judging and awarding different awards for different aspects of film making.

Where it will be: The Farish Theater at the Central Library.

When they host it: November 13th 2016 from 1-5 P.M.

What they need: To raise $5,000 so that they can have trophies made for the winners and have a rewards banquet after the showing. The film society expects up to 30 members will be participating at the banquet and we will need to collect a deposit to secure a conference room at the Hilton in Lexington. They are asking for help from the film making community and Cinephile community to help make this new festival here to become a reality! The deposit will be saved and used again for the next festival next year.
