Hello, my name is Elena, and I  am frundraising for a program called The Ivy League Project. I am a 4.0 student who does not give up very easily, no matter how difficult the task.  I have lived in America for eight years, and I am an immigrant from Bulgaria. My country is rather economically poor and it is very difficult to obtain a strong education.  I am involved in many extracurricular activities suc as the the Denver Urban Debate League, Girls' Varsity Swimming, Student Council, Math Honors Society, and currently volunteering at the Children's Hospital in Colorado.  My dream is to gain acceptance to an Ivy League School in two years. I have always wanted to acquire greater knowledge and experience. The Ivy League Project is a week trip for economically disadvantaged students who are selected to visit the top universities on the east coast. It also provides workshops and class courses for how to apply and prepare for an Ivy League college. Students selected will be visiting Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Brown, Columbia, MIT, and Penn during spring break of 2014. In addition, students will be able to tour the Statue of Liberty, historical Boston, the Liberty Bell, and other historical sites.  In order to participate in The Ivy League Project, my goal is to fundraise $2,500. This would be an amazing opportunity for a first generation student from my family to go to college.
