Who we are and where our idea came from::

I have been unemployed for over 3 years from a great drafting career. My wife worked as a preschool teacher for several years but, she was laid off when she was pregnant with our wonderful baby girl, Autumn. Now at 16 months old, Autumn is such a busy little bee. She likes to have fun and explore everything with her big brother and sister. Because of her enormous amount of energy, we looked for a great place to take her where she can explore and climb with other toddlers.  We like the local parks but, in Florida the summers get so hot it's unbearable to take her outside. Next, we tried out the mall's indoor play area but it's very small and gets crowded on hot days and the older kids are too rowdy for toddlers to play safely. After our last visit to the mall, Autumn ended up getting sick with a high fever and ear infection. We found an indoor inflatable bounce house place but, they only had one inflatable that she was allowed to go on and it just wasn't interesting enough to entertain her long and the cost is not worth it. We came up with our indoor play center idea simply because there aren't any in our area.

Our Idea:: The Friendship Play Center::

 We both want to start our own business so our kids will have a fun place to play and we really love being together. Our play center will cater to the families with infants, toddlers and preschoolers. It will be an interactive play center with safe, clean playground equipment, educational toys and themed play areas. We have designed it to enable parents to play with their children if they want. The playground we have chosen is strong enough for parents to climb in/on and help the younger toddlers explore. We will offer several activities such as Mommy & me, Tumbling, Storytime, Puppet theatre, and Parent's night out.

Our problem::

We have every last detail planned out. We have found a wonderful location, we have a great business plan and everyone we've surveyed has loved the idea and can't wait to bring their children. We've looked for private investors, we've gone to several local banks and we've asked our family for help but nobody will give us a chance to even show them our business plan. We met with a small business counselor and he told us that no one is willing to take a chance on a start up business in this economy. Due to both of us being laid off, our credit is ruined and we have no collateral because we have very little income and we've sold everything we can just to take care of our kids. We currently live with my parents and we are so grateful to them. We know our idea is awesome and we will work hard until we find the funding to make it a reality. We have come to GO Get Funding to find help so we can make our dream come true.

Rewards

A personalized ceramic tile that will have your name or business name on it. The tiles will be on the walls of our lobby so that all of our visitors can see who helped us get started.
